Borrowing Materials

Newton County Library card holders may borrow (check out) up to a total of 20 items including 4 DVDs.  DVDs have a check out time of 1 week while all other materials may be checked out for 3 weeks.

Holds & Renewals

When an item is on loan, a patron may request that it be put on hold for them.  They will be notified when it is returned and it will be held at the front desk for up to one week for them.  The due date for any checked out item may be extended for an additional standard checkout period.  Patrons may renew items by phone.

FEES

Newton County Library is a fine-free library. We do not charge late fees. If an item is not returned, lost, or damaged, the account holder will be billed the replacement cost of the item.
