Access to databases provided through the Traveler Program is available to Arkansas citizens residing within the state, and to academic, public and school libraries statewide. Arkansas libraries may register with the State Library to offer Traveler resources through their own institutional websites.
Traveler resources are available exclusively to Arkansas residents and libraries within state boundaries. If ineligible for Traveler, contact your local public library to learn about similar services and resources that are available in your area.
* Newton County Library Patrons can access database resources the library or the State Library from home. To do this you must enable your Geo-location services tool on your computer for access success.
Biblio Labs authenticates based on the patron’s IP address being within the State of Arkansas. *
The Traveler program provides free remote access for all Arkansas citizens to high-quality subscription databases from reputable publishers. The databases contain a variety of information sources: popular magazines, newspapers and periodicals; academic and professional journals, eBook collections, and general reference and discovery sources that are suitable for online and scholarly research. The resources selected support a variety of education and reading levels. This project is made possible by a grant from U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Arkansas State Library under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act.
